Contest Details
Summerside Students in Kindergarten to Grade 9 are invited to enter a T-Shirt Design Contest for the inaugural 2024 Summerside Bicycle Fun Fest (BFF).
The deadline for submitting your design is June 7, 2024.
The T-shirt design winner will not only receive a free T-shirt bearing their design but also have the honour of seeing it worn by 100 riders and volunteers on the day of the event. They will also win a new bicycle, courtesy of MacQueen’s Bike Shop!
The top winner in each school will have their photo, design, and name featured on the event website and press releases. They will also be named honorary ride captains for the event, a recognition that highlights their creativity.
The classroom with the most entries receives an hour during the school day at The Dome with the bouncy castle. This is great for an end-of-school-year party for your class!
The school with the most entries receives $500 for their school to purchase resources or equipment that foster active living.
ENTRY GUIDELINES:
• The entry must say the words “Summerside Bicycle Fun Fest”, "Festivélo Summerside", or “Summerside" and "BFF.”
• Artists are allowed to use no more than three colours in their drawings.
• Artists may choose to include various forms of active transportation (bicycles, wheelchairs, scooters, skateboards, etc.) and may incorporate school mascots or city landmarks.
• No computer drawings are allowed.
• Drawings must be on white paper which is 8.5 inch x 11 inch.
• Students can submit up to three different entries.
Students MUST put the following on the back of their drawing to be eligible to win:
• First and Last name
• Age
• Telephone number and Email address (of parent or guardian)
• School, Grade, and Teacher`s Name
DEADLINE: The classroom packet of drawings should be submitted no later than June 7th and sent to Summerside Bicycle Fun Fest, c/o Ryan Steele, Credit Union Place, 511 Notre Dame Street, Summerside, C1N 1T2.
